Youth Ministry Celebration Listowel May 19
On Wednesday 15th May, the Diocese of Kerry acknowledged and celebrated nine Youth Ministers from the Listowel Pastoral Area, who have just completed the year long Diocesan Course in Youth Ministry. The celebration of the Youth Ministry Awards was held in St. Patrick’s Hall, Listowel and certificates were presented to those who completed the course. The gathering included members of the Parish Council, the families of those being awarded and some of the Folk Group singers. The night was structured around a prayer service celebrating their youth ministry. Fr Declan O Connor commissioned the Youth Ministers. Trish Mulvihill spoke about how she experienced the course as an encouraging place, where she could discuss her beliefs freely, with ongoing learning and input from visiting trainers, but at all times a lively and warm dynamic within the group enabling learning. The night ended in delicious food and party time. It was a night to thank these volunteers for giving their time and energy.
